Forsythia Spring

Yellow – The Color of Joy

It has been an early spring here in New England, and also a long one.  So many flowers are blooming very early and staying in bloom a long time because the temperatures, although 20 degrees above normal on average, are still fairly cool.

Forsythia’s are one of my favorite flowers, and this year I have been reveling in their magnificence.  Yellow is a joyful color.  Don’t believe me?  Try putting on a pair of yellow glasses and see what happens.  Whenever I put on my pair, I giggle.  They can certainly elevate your mood if you are feeling low and will even give you a lift when your spirits are high.

So maybe that’s the main reason I love forsythia bushes – all those amazing yellow flowers.  Having a camera now has given me the opportunity to share this exquisiteness with all of you.

The forsythia flowers are dying now, and the green leaves are emerging.  The golden display is over for this year.  I will not grieve them now, as I can always come back to these photos and remember.

Namaste,
Nedda
